Recently, the Madras High Court ordered the state to close all TASMAC state liquor stores in Tamil Nadu on Friday, that is, on May 8. The order was approved due to violations of social distancing regulations in the midst of the closure of COVID-19. However, the online sale of liquor in the state has been allowed by the Superior Court. That is why the state government has launched the online application TASMAC to buy liquor online. What is the TASMAC online application? The Tamil Nadu government launched the online app and website TASMAC to ensure social distancing and stop overcrowding in wine shops after the High Court allowed the state to sell alcohol through online media. The website is similar to food delivery apps like Zomato and Swiggy. This TN online alcohol delivery app will provide details about the nearby TASMAC liquor store and users can effectively book their favorite hard drink. The website launched on Thursday, meaning May 7, 2020, and the decision was made to ensure that people can maintain their privacy and security during this time of need.
